Welcome Parents & Family members!
You play an important role in your student's student success and also in the Penn State community. We want to partner with you to ensure your student achieves their educational goals, and therefore we developed these pages especially for you. We realize that you may have questions about the University and your role as your student embarks on this exciting new journey at Penn State.
At Penn State, we encourage all students to fully engage in “The Penn State Experience,” which involves personal development both inside and outside of the classroom. In our Parents Guide (pdf), you will find important information that can help you prepare your student to meet academic expectations in the classroom, take advantage of the endless opportunities to become involved in campus life and can serve as a handy reference guide for you at home.
If you are the parent of a prospective student, please refer to these special resources and answers to your FAQs. Parents of prospective students (specifically, parents of high school seniors who live near the campus) should have received a copy of the "PSNK Parent" newsletter (pdf) in the mail. We created this newsletter in order to answer questions and provide helpful information to the parents of high school students considering Penn State New Kensington.
Of course, if you have questions or concerns and would like to speak with either of us, please feel free to call or email us.
We welcome you and your student to the Penn State family!
