Mahajibee Blues Band concludes campus celebration of Black History Month

Blending of Blues, Rock and Indie Music

Penn State New Kensington concludes its celebration of Black History Month with a performance by the Mahajibee Blues Band from noon to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the campus’ Forum Theatre.
Mahajibee performs a blend of blues, rock and indie music. The five-man band features Tim Ambrass, bass; Brent McConnell, drums; Pat Tevis, keys/harp/vocals; Tim Vitullo, guitar/vocals; and Earl Schwalm, guitar/vocals.
Based in Pittsburgh, the group has played at numerous festivals thoughout the country including the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Arkansas and the Summertime Blues Festival in Maryland. Mahajibee has opened for blues legend BB King.
