Fall semester's admissions events for prospective students and families
TWELVE OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE THE CAMPUS AND
MEET WITH STUDENTS AND FACULTY
The Admissions Office is holding 12 events during the fall semester for prospective students and parents.
The events include: For Parents Only on Sept. 19; Be a Student for a Day on Sept. 26, Oct. 24, and Nov. 28; Fall Open House on Sept. 27; Fall Festival, Sept. 29; RadSci/BET Open House, Oct. 17 (Allegheny General Hospital) and Nov. 14 (New Kensington campus); Penn State Day Open House on Oct. 20; and Veterans/Adult Open House on Nov. 13. All events, except for the RadSci/BET program on Oct. 17, will be held in the Conference Center. In addition, there are two application days slated for Oct. 8 and Nov. 12.
The For Parents Only program is geared toward parents of high school students and is a guide to the college admissions and the financial aid processes. Be a Student for a Day events give future students the opportunity to attend classes with a current student.
The Fall Open House is a chance for prospective students and their families to explore the University and meet with campus students, faculty, staff and alumni. The Fall Festival is a chance to see the campus community in its non-academic mode. Application Day provides prospective students with help in filling out an application and allows for on-the-spot admissions decisions. In addition, the $50 application fee will be waived.
