The Penn State Electro-Optics Center (EOC) is the founding corporate partner in the GREAT Program.
The EOC, located in Freeport, PA, is one of the Defense Related Research Units of Penn State and a proud partner in the Penn State New Kensington GREAT Program. GREAT students who are selected for an internship at the EOC receive substantial opportunity to work on defense critical technologies that can launch them into a career in either the commercial or defense sectors. The EOC not only employs and mentors GREAT students throughout the course of their college engineering experience, they also provide enrichment seminars focusing on leadership, communication, and professionalism. Led by experienced professionals with successful careers in industry, research and development, and the military, these “soft skill” seminars guide rising engineers toward reaching their full potential as GREAT engineers!
