Current Penn State Students:
Admission to the Honors Program for students entering their sophomore year:
At the end of the spring semester, the Honors Coordinators survey the campus faculty for Honors Program nominations. Students who have excelled in their freshman coursework and demonstrated qualities of scholarship and involvement may be invited to apply to the Honors Program. This sophomore 'gate' into our program is extremely competitive. In 2009, out of the twenty students nominated by faculty members only four were accepted into the program.
** Students entering their junior year and transferring to University Park, Behrend College (Penn State Erie) or one of the other 4 year Penn State campuses:
There is a junior 'gate' into Schreyer Honors College. If you are interested, please see Dr. Hamilton during the spring semester of your sophomore year.
