All students in the Penn State New Kensington Honors Program receive a $3,500 scholarship each year that they participate in the program at the New Kensington campus.  In 2005 we graduated our first class of four-year Honors Program participants (with degrees in business, psychology and information science and technology).

Over the past ten years the Honors program has sponsored trips to New York City, Stratford, Ontario, Washington, D.C., Spain, France, Italy, China, Greece, Ecuador, Peru, Ireland, Puerto Rico and Arizona.  The program also sponsors trips to the symphony, ballet, and theatre in Pittsburgh.

Registration Benefits

Campus Honors students are able to register before other students!  This gives Honors students the ability to pick their classes and schedules without fear of section closing or other conflicts.

Library Privileges

Honors students are able to keep library materials for the entire semester (rather than the two-week limit imposed on regular students).  Honors students also have few or no restrictions on quantities of requested library materials.
